Testdisk is able to recover deleted partitions



Mistakenly deleted a partition?
Partition is lost, or ridiculous problems with the partitions:
try using the program TEST DISK:

works with the following file systems:
- FAT12 FAT16 FAT32
- NTFS (Windows NT/W2K/XP/...)
- EXT2/EXT3 (Linux)
- BeFS (BeOS)
- BSD disklabel
- CramFS
- IBM Multiboot
- JFS
- Linux SWAP (version 1 and 2)
- NSS (Netware)
- ReiserFS 3.5/3.6
- XFS

copy the MS-DOS Version of Testdisk onto a bootable floppy or boot with another dos-based boot media.

start testdisk, select Analyse to scan the Harddisk,
Testdisk shows you a summary of found partitions: if the information is right you can write it into the partition table. To be on the safe side clone your Harddisk to another and try to recover the cloned Harddisk (works only with a sector based clone tool, like PC INSPECTOR™ clone maxx take a look at: clone or image your harddisk
